About Us

Mission

Helping people to experience a life of healing, deliverance, restoration, and salvation in a community that cares for your soul and wants to see you grow and utilize your God-given gifts and talents for the Kingdom of God.

As servants, it is our purpose to live ever pleasing in the sight of God and our goal is to please Him. Our aim is to please Him.  Our mindset is to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”  It is our position that if we do all things pertaining to Kingdom living, and Soul Winning, then the Father will be pleased.

What We Believe

God.  We believe there is only one true God; the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all mankind, manifested to mankind as the Father [Creator], Son [Redeemer], and Holy Ghost [Indwelling Spirit]. [Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; John 14:10, 26; Rom. 8:11; 2 Cor. 13:14]

The Father. We believe God is a Spirit, the Eternal One, the Creator of All Things; and certainly all men; thus making Him Our Father.  He is the One who loved the world so much that He gave His only Son.  [John 4:24; Matt. 6:9; John 3:16]

The Son. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is the revelation and manifestation of the Word made flesh, co-equal and co-existent, with the Father, and the Holy Ghost.  Jesus is God manifested in the flesh.  He is one with the Father and is the only begotten of the Father. [Matt. 1:23; I Timothy 3:16; John 10:30]

The Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit. We believe The Holy Ghost is the manifestation of the Spirit of God [The Creator], and the resurrected Christ, coming to dwell in the hearts and lives of men who will be obedient to the Gospel, as the Comforter, Sustainer, and Keeper. [John14:16-26; Romans 8:1]

The Holy Scriptures.  We believe the Bible is the Word of God.  It is a message from God by the Spirit to Man.  The Holy Spirit is the author of the Bible having breathed into men the inspiration to receive and communicate divine Truth.  The Bible is one book, having one subject, one Author, and many writers.  The Bible is without error and is the final authority for faith and life; it is the Living Word of God and will stand forever. [2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21]

Sin. We believe the Bible teaches that Sin is universal as “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” We are all sinners in the eyes of a Holy God because we have been separated/alienated from God due to Adam’s actions [the Fall of Man].  Sin breaks the personal relationship with God, it alienates us from God and the only way  to overcome Sin and restore relationship with God is by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer. So not only are we born into sin, but we have a propensity to Sin, Sin is in our nature. [Genesis 3; Rom. 3:23; Psalm 58:3]

Salvation. We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.  We believe that all sins, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, are forgivable.  Salvation is secured by confessing with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believing in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead for all mankind. [Romans 10:9; Matt. 12:31-32; John 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; 1 John 1:9]

Justification. We believe the Bible teaches that God justifies all believers on the basis or grounds of Christ’s death at the Cross, and because believer’s accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by Faith, the believer is granted full pardon of sin—the free gift of life. [Acts 10:43; Romans 3:24-26; Romans 5:18, 21]

Regeneration. We believe the new birth, an inner-creating of our fallen human nature by the action of the Holy Spirit.  Through the Power of the Holy Spirit, the heart of the believer will experience a spiritual transformation manifested by the victory of Christ at Calvary for all humanity and granting us a relationship with God.  [Romans 12:2; Eph. 4:23; I John 5:4-5; Romans 6:14; I John 4:7-8]

Sanctification. We believe Sanctification is the act of God, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, bringing our will in subjection to the Will of God.  It means that we are set apart from the flesh and cares of this world. We are made Holy by the Divine Power of God, washed in the Word of God, and are without blame.  [I Corinthians 1:30; 6:11; Eph. 1:4; 5:25-26]

Water Baptism. We believe that Water Baptism is an ordinance of the Church commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ.  Water Baptism is a confirmation of a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ.  The Bible instructs that we are to baptize individuals through immersion, “In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” [Mt. 28:19-20; 3:13-17; Acts 1:5]

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost. We believe the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is the gift of God through Jesus Christ to the children of God.  One of the evidences of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is the gift of speaking in other tongues. [Acts 2:4]

Holiness. We believe that the Believer, after confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, is commanded to “go and sin no more” throughout life.  The Scriptures teach us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, to live soberly, righteously, and godly.” Furthermore, we are encouraged to “present our bodies (as) a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable unto God.” [John 8:11; Titus 2:12; Romans 12:1]

Divine Healing. We believe that the Blood of Jesus Christ purchased Divine Healing for all that believe in Him.  The Bible says that through His stripes we are healed.  Additionally, Jesus traveled everywhere teaching, preaching, and healing all manner of sickness and disease and we are commissioned to follow His example and to do the same. [Matthew 4:23-24; 10:8]

The Second Coming of Christ. We believe in the blessed hope, the personal, imminent return of Christ, Who will rapture His church prior to the seven-year tribulation period.  At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom which was promised to the nation of Israel. [[Ps. 89:3-4; Dan. 2:31-45; Zech. 14:4-11; 1 Thess. 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Rev. 3:10; 19:11-16; 20:1-6]

The Resurrection. We believe the Bible declares that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, and both the just and the unjust shall appear before God.  [John 5:28-29]

The Lord’s Supper. At Refiners House Christian Church we will consistently partake in The Lord’s Supper. It is imperative.  We believe it is done as a memorial unto the Lord’s death until He returns again.  The Bread represents His broken body and the Cup represents His blood, which was shed for the remission of our sins. [I Corinthians 11:23-29]

Marriage. We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one naturally born man and one naturally born woman for life. It is not to be entered into lightly and is a solemn vow between one naturally-born man and one naturally-born woman.  Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. [Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23]

Satan. We believe that Satan is a personal spirit being, the author of sin and the cause of the Fall of Man; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire. [Job 1:6-7; Isaiah 14:12-17; Matt. 4:2-11; 25:41; Rev. 20:10]
